kannur and Muzlapillamkadu beach

Day 1: Saturday
Time 1:30 AM: "kousalya supraja rama purrva".. My alarm started ringing. I just sprung up from the bed with full enthu.. Did all the morning duties, packed and left to the meeting point by 2. Called Sumit and found that he was there already(U are an early bird man ;) ). Reached the spot by 2:30 and found that Vinal had gone back home has he had missed the wallet. He came back by 2:45. He had ran over 2 bumps on the way back :p
We left banglore around 3. Maintained an avrg speed of 80s and 100s and around 4 we stopped near ramnagaram for T break. While having Tea Sumit noticed that he had a puncture on his rear wheel. Near to T shop a biker lost his balance when a truck passed by him and he feel on the ditch. A mechanic was looking at the bike and he said his shop his close by. We went there but he didnt ve the kit to fix tubeless tyres. U inflated the tyres and moved on. After 25 mins of searching We found one pucture near Mandya woke up the guy but he too didnt ve the kit so again did the same and moved to Mysore. There we woke up another guy and got it fixed. Man it was jus 1 mins job.
Lesson Learnt: Carry a pucture strips with us so that we can fix it at any shop ourself.

We then moved towards Gundalpet and soo enough we saw the sunrise...

I waited for this and got it when we were about to leave ;)

Soon after 20 kms we stopped again for another set of pics

We then drove towards gundelpet the roads were very pleasent and more was the early skies. We did a good speeds of 100+ and reached Gundelpet in no time.
Then the orads were bad for 10kms and then we entered the forest. We were fully down on the first 2 turns but then on the third we felt the road was uneven so reduced the speeds to 80s. Soon there was road contructions and the gravals were spread across the road so didnt risk at corners. We were constantly eyeing to sight some tuskers and bisons but in vain. Jus after crossing a narrow bridge The car infront so me suddnly moved to left and before I could realise I ran into a big pothole. I tried to lift the front wheel but the hole was feet deep and a feet wide. So a bang - bang :D and another bang - bang by vinal who was behind me. :D
We reached Sulthan bathery by 8:15. Again well ahead of schedule. had a nice break fast :)

We left the hotel by 9:30 and drove towards calicut. During the first break Sumit told the story of guy who suffered badly because of dehydration. So gulped all the water.. ;)

our second break was at a cooler place :)

Then on the sun started taking its toll. The heavy traffic and the hot/salty breeze was very tiring but it was 30 mins only. We reached the city with out a break around 10:45. Then followed Vinal to his House. What a shdy place it was. haaa...!! Was cool. went up switched on the fan and I took a quick nap while SUmit went for a bath. After an hour or so i woke up and went for the Lunch. Man wat a feast it was. Fish, chicken, pala-alwa, shell-fish (on spl request by me) and the all varieties of the traditional kerala meals.. hmmmm....... me and sumit was in full joy.. ;) Thanks a lotttttttt........ Vinal.
Then after 1 of break from the lunch (:D) we moved towards kannur. I forgot the name of the beach. jus remember that it will start with 'M'. Vinal called his frnds and got the full name. On the way we crossed mahe(west pondichery) Xtra premium cost jus 45 there. So filled up our tanks and moved to the beach. We were on time quickly checked into a beach side resort. Changed to the shorts for the beach. Sumit was the one who did ve it so was with the jeans. We tortured him a lot and made to go up and down as "we was the well-dressed gentle man". but we didnt do it more than once.. ;)
hey! and did I tell U it was a drive-in beach. Bikes are 'legally' allowed. But the entrance to the resort had some loose sand. The "modern tech" couldnt make it. had to push :P :P. Me with one twist of thorttle passed thruo. But the poor fellow vinal who was behind was fully soaked in sand thorwn out of my Rear tyres and here started the Fun.
