day 2: Chandigarh to Manali

After all the struggle we got the bikes on Saturday 1am. Filled in the tanks, check out from the hotel and put the luggages on the Indica. Mohan/Cab will take different route to Bilaspur, while we will take the Ghat road to Bilaspur. As soon we left Chandigarh we had to wait at a railwya juction for atleast an hour. The train was moving at a rate for 1 metre/min. The scorching heat made us gulp some 4 sarbaths(soda) on the spot. ;)

Then the roads turned to ghats and almost everyone started testing their bikes. I was testing the breaking distance of the bike at the turns, Sumit was testing the leaning grip on his tyres and the others have their Parts to share.
Took a few breaks for tea and pics







We reached Bilaspur by 7 and had dinner at Sagar View. The food was good but sadly no 'Masala Dosa' for Sunil :P. There we started planning for for the nights stay and an early start tomo. On the way we bought some cans for Fuel and moved on. The ghats were too good, but we were warned about the accidents. At a place I failed to realize that Sunil has stopped, so Sumit need to catch me and bring me back. ;)
The driver had dinner there and we had chai. Enroute we say a nice dam, Guess its Aut


Then we reached Kullu, Ya forgot to mention that enroute there was a stream that crosses the road at a hump. Sunil braked well, but I had my legs on the crash guard so went in a bit fast and Summit and Chetan saw us braking so they were well informed. :)



At Kullu we had discussion if to stay there are move to Manali, We preferred riding at night than screwing up the next morning. We reached Manali at midnight. After a few searches we stayed at Piccadilly.
