day 10 - jaisalmar
Previous | Home | |
as usual we got up only at 3:30 but packed and left by 4:15. It was damm cold. Full of mist and fog.
The Moon at 4 am :)

I lead with both the fog lights on and adjusted the head light appropriately. Visibility was close to zero may be a meter or so. We slowly moved on. Then by 5:15 the mist cleared a bit and by 5:30 we got little light from the sun. Man this was the best part of the Trip. At one point we felt we are gonna enter into cloulds and later in the rear mirror we could see that we ve left the cloud and soon entered the other. I didnt even stop for fotos was so very carried away by the joy and after 2 hrs of riding we stopped for the sun rise pic.

Then on the fog cleared very soon and the sun was at tis horizon. The vehicles coming towards east found it very difficult. So we drove to our extreme left. Wanted to ve a break to left Shyam lead. Then I noticed some blue smoke fromhis exhaust. We stopped at Pokran and found a pulsar service station This is the best thing is like about the mini bikes. All 3 Bajaj,TVS and HH ve service stations at all places. Changed the engine oil. I too refilled the engine oil. And we drove west happily with full stomach(all 4).

The roads were straight straight and straight Bright ans soon we heard some tankers bursting and huge dust raising high...
It was the army Training zone. Was happy to see all tankers moving here and there and our soldiers firing at the targets. We stood there watching/hearing. Soon we got a go.. go word from the trainer. We left the place. and with another 60 kms ahead we some camels :)

We reached jaisalmer by lunch. After inquiring at few places we got a deal for a stay in the desert+camelride+dinner+entertainment+camp in the desert+breakfast for 1200 per head. Accepted it had lunch and the tour started by 3.
Again we parked the pulsar and drove on the desert. We thought its just 2 kms away but damm it was 40 kms.. and the winds were strong. I could feel that a vehicle is coming behind just by the increase in the wind force. never experienced it. And soon we reached the camel point. There we boarded the camel.. we gave some extra money to the biy ans asked him to take to some 'all sand zone' :)

I felt the sand was not that very loose. we asked him and said there some rains the previous night. hehe :D and we faced rains only here :D

Say a HAI to me... :)
